Donald Cumming recently unveiled his much anticipated debut solo LP Out Calls Only in its entirety. Following high praise from the likes of Wall Street Journal, Rolling Stone, Paste, and Entertainment Weekly, he’s now released a stunning video for “Game of the Heart” via VEVO. Out Calls Only is available at retail and digital platforms everywhere now via Washington Square/Razor & Tie.

Finding the spotlight as the frontman of the mid-00’s darlings the Virgins, native New Yorker Donald Cumming traveled the world supporting the likes of the The Killers to Lou Reed to Sonic Youth and played for national audiences on Letterman and more, making the kind of music endemic to his East Village home. Back now in solo form after the band broke up in 2013, he’s still pulling from the same toolbox that informed his previous successes, but with the mellower wisdom of someone who has seen the all the ups and downs of life in the city and beyond.

For the singer, being given the quintessential opportunity to redefine himself with Out Calls Only was all the proof he needed to realize this union between he and Washington Square is indeed a good fit.

“Everyone has been very supportive and I immediately felt like this is a professional atmosphere and I can actually be free to make the kind of music I want to make,” he enthuses. “Which is really all I have ever been looking for at the end of the day.”
