Austin recently performed “America” live at the Moscot store in New York City as part of their Moscot Music series – watch below. The official video for “America” will premiere on June 30th via VEVO.
“I think we all get caught up in the mess of what’s going on in the country through the eyes of social media and the fast-paced life of Americans,” says Plaine. “Sometimes it’s nice to just sit back and enjoy the simple beauty in this country.”
Austin Plaine, released in September 2015 via Washington Square Music, showcases Plaine’s beautifully melancholic lyrics and calming rasp. His music, at times both unsettling and a comfort, has been hailed as “the soundtrack for nostalgia-drunk road trips.” And his voice: “Like worn flannel and faded jeans.”
Austin Plaine has spent most of 2016 on the road in support of the record, touring as direct support to both Brian Fallon & The Crowes and Kiefer Sutherland, as well as some of the largest festivals including Bonnaroo, Bunbury and upcoming appearances at PromoWest Fest and Electric Forest. Austin will head back to the studio this fall to begin work on his sophomore effort.
